Humain Trials: Help Blindness in Dogs

banner11I don’t know about you but I am totally against using animals in testing medications and cosmetics for humans. But how would you feel if the roles were reversed and humans were used to test medications for animals?

That is virtually what has happened where the latest research on cures for blindness in humans is being used to successfully treat blindness in dogs and other animals.

There have been several clinical trials on the effectiveness of N-Acetyl-Carnosine (NAC) when used as eye drops for humans – see the bottom of this article if you really want to read all the technical reports. Improvements with cataracts, macular degeneration (AMD), Glaucoma, Dry Eye Syndrome and many other eye disorders have been recorded using drops containing NAC. A quick search on the internet will find hundreds of anecdotal testimonials from satisfied customers around the world. All of these people have been helped without having to resort to expensive eye surgery. In fact, the eye drops are becoming so successful there are now several companies marketing their own version of NAC eye drops.

But how can this help blindness in dogs? One of the most common causes of blindness in dogs (and other animals) is due to cataracts – often brought on as a consequence of diabetes. Several customers of the Ethos Bright Eyes drops started applying the “human” eye drops to their pet dogs. When they reported this back to the manufacturer, the company quickly developed an eye drop specifically for small animals such as dogs and cats.

Success stories now arrive on a weekly basis with dogs, cats and other pets. As with anything to do with animals – “good news travels fast” and last month we heard about the remarkable experience of Joey the Kangaroo in Western Australia.

If you think your dog (or kangaroo!) is having difficulty seeing or has been diagnosed with diabetes then a course of Ethos Bright Eyes pet drops can quickly and easily transform your pet’s standard of life.
